Spring Skiing

With the weather starting to warm up in Canberra we headed to the snow for the last time this season. Lucky for us, the conditions were just perfect - good snow and lovely weather. Sadly this is a rarity in Australia, with snow/rain and strong to gale force winds being the norm in the mountains.....a day trip with work two weeks ago was like skiing with a piece of A4 paper taped to your goggles, the only way to know which way was down was to point your skis in different directions and wait until you started to move.. ...oh how we now appreciate those clear blue / calm days & weeks in the French Alps.
Immi enjoyed the “Discovery Kids” class and was using the button lift on the race course by the end of day 2. Katie and Holly skied with us and display zero fear or self preservation, wanting to ski as fast as dad and follow off any jump / lump he could find......having shot off a few times for a short “blast” to clear the cobwebs I was astonished to find Katie just feet behind and not just that, but also looking very stylish (unlike her dad - you are right Glen, feet too close together!).
I know that your initial thought was "Franz Klammer", but very close inspection will show otherwise....yep, Franz doesn't use BlOC goggles.
Paul finally gets to ski with a TV Top Gear superstar....the Stig!

Holly was also super confident, singing her way down the slopes and taking great delight in spraying us with snow as she skidded to every halt.

I just hate people that can multi task - ski well and smile.
No, it is not the price tag, its my lift pass.
The jacket will fit, next season.

Blimey, nowhere is safe nowadays, abduction on the slopes!....note to self: remove neck thingy in public. P

Overall, another great trip away in the caravan......coast next, I think.
