Another Weekend Away

Spring is definitely here, although it feels more like a hot hot summer to us. We were off camping again this weekend just to the coast to a place called Broulee which is just over 2 hours away. So straight from Friday school we jumped in the car and we were off for 2 nights. (I make it sound so easy, Paul would beg to differ! I think the loggie spent 2 days planning and 3 days packing the kit!). Anyway we had a lovely time with temps of up to 30 degrees. Katie windsurfed for the first time on the sea and only fell in on the last go - a record I think for a learner. I think the years of ballet have paid off and Paul is a very happy chap! I even got back on the water and after a rusty run, it felt like riding a bike (well, almost!). Yes we spotted another shark, which strangely enough, made us concentrate on our balance! A lovely weekend and both tents remained standing - can't be bad.... S, P, K, H & I. X

Australian Citizenship Ceremony 10 Oct 08

Yesterday Paul, Katie, Holly and Immi all became Australian Citizens taking part in a lovely ceremony in the ACT Assembly in Canberra. Immi almost kept quiet for the formal ceremony having refused to go into the room beforehand. It therefore took me half an hour to convince her.... she just wanted to go home! Maybe that was a sign she didn't want to be an Aussie? We had a lovely morning and Paul's boss and his family kindly came as our guests and bought cakes for Paul and decorated his desk with a huge Aussie flag as he got back to his desk. It is strange being the only complete Pomm in the family!!!!!

Camping on NSW Coast Oct 08

Hi everyone, just got back from a long weekend camping. Well we did have a good time, but the weather tested our camping skills to the full. It rained for nearly 3 days and the 'Southerly Buster' claimed one of our tents and many others on the site! However, we still managed to get to the beach and get some body boarding and windsurfing in. We visited so many lovely beaches - they go on for ever here and the coves are beautiful with nobody around - even for a bank holiday! The girls enjoyed themselves and we are already booked to go again in a couple of weekends time. This is definitely the cheapest and easiest way to see Australia for us. Paul and the girls have their Citizenship Ceremony this Friday so again more photos to follow. Much love to you all x
