Easter at Narooma

Our last trip to the NSW coast before winter.

  Easter morning and following an email from the Easter Bunny, we made our way to one of the more remote beaches in search of eggs.

With the red herrings gone, the real Dolphins surf the waves.

Water still 21c (warm) and Katie's surfing is improving very quickly

A good sea breeze and time to get out the windsurfing gear

A slow start with very little wind next to the beach,

but kit breaking waves charging towards me.....finaly, the old timer, got out at the 3rd attempt



Feb - Apr – Nana & Grandad Dorsett Visit Aus

Dorsett Seniors arrive and it’s off to the coast for a short camping trip in one of the National Parks - lots of friendly wildlife.....and a few roos.

I show Immi what her future boyfriends should not look like..

..."and if he looks like this, I will poke him in the eye with a stick, like so" 

Not the brightest of animals, but entertaining.

The not so friendly wildlife - a red bellied black.......yep, it would kill you if you didn't get medical help, but its not a fast death so no need to panic!!!

Oh, and whilst you are here can you please renovate the house, just start with all of the white woodwork....

then sand the deck, hammer all of the thousand nails in and re-oil....

Then, just before you cook dinner, mow the lawns......Welcome to the new house!

Cooler nights and our maple trees are turning....anyone want a trip to Aus to help clear some leaves?  

Jazz - alert as ever

One of our own friendly outdoor pets - a Garden Orb - about 4 inches long - it won't hurt you, but the shock of it crawling on your leg/arm might finish you off.

Nutella, normally left on the supermarket shelves for the girls to gaze at in wonder......she wasn’t so happy when she opened the blue present to discover the item that went with it ....... a wholemeal loaf ;-)

A sunny weekend at Narooma

A weekend in the caravan at Narooma. Nice surf, warm water and sunny weather.

I just love those natural shots, taken when nobody knows that the camera is pointing in their direction.

We arrived in the dark and woke to a lovely view of the sea, fantastic.

Parrots with breakfast, nice but I couldn't manage a whole one.

Look Mr Seagull, you can see that the beach is completely full, now move on and somewhere else.

Immi makes the leap to "Surfer Girl"

Short of people to rescue, the local search air rescue crew drew straws and threw the co-pilot out of the door. They gave a few minutes to cool down and calm down and then returned to pick him up. Good entertainment, but sadly no offers of a free trip around the bay.
